NAO is already piloted and established project on the national level - the first National Agro-Olympiad was conducted in 2021 under the supervision of the Ministry of the Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
NAO-2021 was organized by FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and Agricultural Development Association (ADA). 
Besides, the Project partners were: The USAID Agriculture Program and CENN - Caucasus Environmental NGO Network.
According to the NAO rules, the knowledge evaluation of the participants is provided by testing and the winners in each nomination (agricultural fields) were awarded various prizes assigned by the organizers and sponsor organizations of NAO-2021.
